  • I am a 63 year old newby and just starting for a little exercise and fresh air. Your tips have helped a bunch thanks.

  • @rangerbull Sorry for such a late response. You are most welcome. Please let me know if I can help further.

  • What about letterboxes and wherigos? I still don't know what those are.

  • @niknik212121 I have had so many geocachers ask for a description of the other geocache types that I will be making one about them too. thanks for the suggestions.

  • Welcome to the obsession :) Most webcam geocaches do not have a physical geocache per say. You in most cases have to have a counter part at at computer who brings up a designated website with the webcam. Then with you in the shot they save a screen shot as proof you were there. Then you send the screen shot to the owner of that webcam geocache.

Hope this helps, if not let me know.

  • Thanks for watching! There are so many types of geocaches and I only had a few minutes to go over even a few of them. Yep Webcam caches are like virtuals and you can't make any more but the ones that are still out there are cool. The 10 year was a one time icon but again very cool. I want to get out to Washington and get the groundspeak one myself. Can't wait and thanks for chiming in.

  • I just started geocaching last weekend. Found two of them.I always thought it would be boring and nerdy, but I had fun.

  • @niknik212121 In case nobody has answered your question wherigo is a cache that involves downloading a program on either your smart phone or wherigo enabled gpsr. the program is typically a game or sometimes a tour of a historical area such as the alamo. It might direct you to different locations and have characters that talk to you. letterboxing is bassically when you find a physical cache and stamp a log book you own with a stamp inside the letterbox...

  • great information

  • What about Webcam Cache.

  • your videos are very helpful, but i am new to geocaching and i am loving it, but i was wondering what webcam caches are? maybe you could help out
