When i add video files to the program it doesnt upload the video ever.

@disturbingra He meant you hit the button "S" on your keyboard to split the video where you want it to be split.

okay this kind of helped me. but im having some problems with the audio and adding music. it wont let me add any music to the video. when i drag the music that i want to the video it wont add the music. it will only allow me to add a video track not a music track

hey thx for the basic info,s u made it simple like nothing at all ,but i have problem i deal with heavy avi files tha smallest maybe 200 MB so sony vegas at some point freazes and stop to work and all my progress lost ??? any idea wat is that and hey before that happen the video i add to the timeline also stop moving but the audio is playing and the timeline bar ???? help

Do you have enough RAM and is your CPU powerful enough? This might be the issue. You should have at least 4 GB RAM to do video editing especially if you are on Vista.

I need help. When I add one of my video clips to the timeline the sound dosn't go on the timeline, only the video does. So how do I fix this problem?

Get Gspot codec checker and make sure you have the correct codec installed.
