I know this. It is an economically depleted region. The German natives were industrious, the new settlers were forcibly resettled there. In 1938, the Czechs in Reichenberg/Liberec were never murdered, like Germans were in 1945 and 1946. That is a difference. The Nazis in 1939 enacted a resettlement policy for Czechs, but some remained. You cannot compare the exproprietation of a few Czech state officials with killing 300,000 Sudeten Germans 1945-46. Germans were victims, Czechs dominating force.

Tschechoslowakische Verbrecher wie Benes und Drtina haben die Deutschen vertrieben und ihrem tschechischen Volk von Kollaborateuren ein Dasein als Satellitenstaat eingebracht. Für Tschechen gibt es wirklich keinen Grund stolz zu sein!

It´s really complicated to say what is all about in few sentences. We focused on northwestern czech borders, which was for 500 yrs setlled mostly by germans. In 30´s they welcome Hitler and push all the Czechs from there. After the WWII the Czechs push all the Germans to the Germany and Austria. The border country "Sudetenland" was "clean" but through the years also devastated and forgotten. The Czechs never resettled it fully...
