I remember seeing this Live on TV back when I was 8 years old in 1972. I loved that moment, and her floor exercise and the music has stayed with me ever since!

I remember my mother getting me up in the middle of the night (being in NZ, 12-14 hours ahead of Germany) and I WAS 5 YEARS OLD!! Just to see Olga... An amazing Games (yet sad too)

@violaroadkill Where exactly did Olga loose flow? Also, the entire crowd jeered her score for more than 20 minutes and many gymnastics experts say she was underscored so i do think you are one of the only people that does not think she deserved gold here... are by you chance from the same country as Janz?

@gymnasticsloverxoxo Janz's routine was definitely creative. She was deducted for the steps - 9.9. Olga lost her flow mid-routine; underrotated her dismount; hopped forward. 9.8.

@violaroadkill She took two steps on her landing and got a 9.900, korbut hopped and got a 9.800. She also did not have the creativity, swing or flow that korbut had.
