Marching band Is harder than anyone gives it credit for being. I'm glad that they made a documentary on it. It's a difficult activity and requires hundreds of hours of work. My band puts in 200+ hours before school starts.

I love marching band. Tomorrow we start camp. I can't wait to start a new year with a new show. (We're doing Nightmare Before Christmas by the way.)

Im in a marching band right now, but I live in the southern part of the U.S. I feel that this documentary is showing what predominantly white school marching bands do. In the south, it's a totally different ballgame. Nevertheless, it's a great documentary. It's just only capturing one stlye of a marching band and that's what predominatly white schools do.

@AngedeleCor yeah i agree. im in this band. i have had 2 brothers go through it and one is the head drum major this year(2011). im even in it now(GO BARRITONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

and one more thing. the tuba on the front cover has gum on it. the picture does not show it but it does.

all the blood sweat and tears i shed with the closest people to me are all worth it after we play our hearts out on that last chord, snap back into attention, and hear lucas oil's croud go wild and you know its for you because your the only ones on the field. :) nothing in the world can give me that high.

I have this movie and love it. People really don't understand marching band and what exactly we do. It's something that you can't really explain and that you have to be in band to experience. People tend to try to disgrace things they don't understand. To everyone out there, next time you see a band, show a little appreciation for all the work they do.

Marching band is the absolute best! I live for it, they're my second family. Not many people realize that it is an actual sport and understand how much time we spend practicing, memorizing, and drilling our shows. Go Marching Band-ers!
