@ffxmmx People are still giving the second movie a tongue lashing for the two "ethnic" Autobots featured. He tried to sell sex unnecessarily and people didn't like it. Robots do not hump, it's that simple. I have watched and been a Transformers fan since they debuted Sept in 1984. And I was disappointed with the second movie's weak plot. Luckily, Bay turned it around with a solid plot in Dark of the Moon and no racially offensive robots.

BOTCON was successful before Michael Bay's movie adaptions also you have Dreamwave's comic series that came out before the films as well. And you had the original series released on DVD box sets in 2005 and the 20th anniversary movie in 2004. The reissue of the original toyline also helped introduce Transformers to a new generation of fans. Bay merely furthered along what was already established.

@ffxmmx yeh but with all that they still would have needed micheal bay for the all 3 movies which did amazing, they made a total of 473million profit off the movies in total which will keep transformers going for longer, but what annoys me is that everyone is saying they hate micheal bay..whats he done wrong? nothing. i'd thank him hes a great director.
