At the DNC: Abortion protesters vy for spotlight

As the pre-DNC media party rapped up, long-time abortion protester Randall Terry and crew stood outside denouncing Sen. Barack Obama. Terry said the group just wanted attention and chance to challenge the media. He also said no Christian should vote for Obama, but added that he had reservations about Sen. John McCain, who has supported limited abortion rights.

You won't get many arguments from me about the sanctity of life but I think the likes of Randall Terry and his merry band band of professional activists and domestic terrorists have a greater agenda and use unborn babies as a front. These people want a christian taliban-like state where self determination would be null and void if it didn't fit their politics to a T. If I wanted to live in a theocracy I would live in Iran. I've been to countries with authoritarian governments. They're scary.

Well, regardless if your a democrat, republican, or libertarian, government is only in place to defend life. If the unborn are indeed human beings then they should be defended. I don't want big government either, just protection of human life.

How far do I go? As far as is necesary to defend human life. It includes using umbilical cord or bone marrow stem cells for research rather than embryonic stem cells.

You might want to cheer up, though, cranky libertarian. :-D

Leftwhacko, laugh out loud! I can actually write words. This leftwhacko is actually a cranky Libertarian who abhores the very thought of Barak Osama occupying the White House. If he gets elected, you can be sure that the war on terror will be happening here and not there. How far do you go in protecting life? How many frozen embryos are sitting on ice in fertility clinics and how many are actually carried to term. Very few are carried to term. Most are discarded, others become tiny lab rats.

lol, wingnuts! States should have a good say as to what happens in their states. Thing is, defending human life is considered a duty of all government, local and federal. City police and fire departments protect life. United States armed forces defend our entire country from being invaded and fight wars over seas to protect our lives.

Last I checked, us wingnuts and you leftwhackos both think that everyone should protect human life... things change I guess...

Many people call 1 year olds babies yet they are not babies, they are toddlers. Many people call teenagers young adults when they are still considered children. Fetus is another stage of development in the human life.

One is considered a fetus from eight weeks until birth.

Person born at 5 months = baby.

Person still in the womb at 9 months = fetus.

Yet... the fetus has no protection and the baby does, go figure...

Isn't it interesting that these wingnuts banter about state's rights but have no problem bringing in the long arm of the federal govenment over issues they disagree with such as anti-sodomy laws, Terri Schiavo, Oregon assisted suicide, et al.

Abortion is the Slavery of today. Did Abraham Lincoln just let the confederate states decide? Just like the abolitionists of those days, we must push for a Constitutional amendment outlawing abortion.
