its heartbreaking how some people can be this cruel to such amazing animals.they are wonderful and deserve the best.no animal or living thing deserves neglect and/or abuse.im doing a speech for my school on horse abuse and neglect and i hope that one day i will be able to open up my own rescue horse ranch and help restore abused horses hapiness and rehome them, just like you guys did with thistle.god bless all you struggling horses out there!

I still remember my German Shepherd mixed Labrador dog. I loved her but I was afraid of the poor dog at the same time she had a nice home with a yard to run and play and she had yummy food in her bowl and water at all times. She scared me but I loved her. I still miss her. She was saved from almost being killed because no one adopted her I still remember he lying on the porch cooling off and feeling good. I would just sit and watch not shes in dog heaven for she was hit by a HUGE truck or car

when i was in guatemala we went horseback riding. The horses that we rode were VERY skinny and very weak. I told the people who worked there (thank gosh they spoke english) that I was not going to ride one of these horses. I told them how they NEED food and water and rest. The man looked at me funny but then he said that they would care for them. I don't know what happened after that, but it felt great knowing I did the RIGHT thing.

heart breaking how some people are so crule in this world- how they can not understand what a life means.how special and unique every horse is in the world. like our two horses. both neglected and almost starved by pre-owners. we have to do are part . like us- to save lives.

the people in the poor countries cant do much about it right now, they need knowledge, education and the environment and of course its also a question about culture.....if you grow up in an environment were people treat animals good, they later your also treat animal good ect...do you have to change the environment

This is nothing compared to what you can see in underdeveloped countries. Donkeys and horses are used as cars, they are obligated to charge like piles of bricks, stuff to sell or street crap, mostly by poor people. You can normally see at downtown dirty and thin donkeys going all over the streets. I always feel sad when I see that because the government is poorly developed to counteract this problem.
It'd be fantastic if you consider going to underdeveloped countries (like in Latin America).
