The less pressure after a TURBO the better for simple reasoning, and more often than not a power increase will be seen, perhaps only 0.1 bhp tho.
If it was a N/A engine then ( the right amount of) back pressure is important, but ill not go into that.

Does doing away away with the middle box increase power at all (bottom or top end) as ive been told the lack of back pressure helps the gasses get out there for increasing power,but the other day i was told totally the opposite,could do with hearing from someone someone who's actually drivin one with no centre box

hi, i've just fitted a 300tdi to my rrc, sounds just like yours, even smokes a little like yours too! i've just fitted a rear disco back box, with straight thru middle, 2.5" do you think i'll have probs with the m.o.t.? noise levels?

Nope, Exhaust was not an issue on MOT mate.. Never said a word and it was a mega strict tester who HATE's land rovers!.. Got a vid like mine, of yours running? ;)
