  • oh whats it called?

  • Thats be really cool! need a black southern unit to, dont forget NW ....

  • whats nw?

  • Wow!! If they have the funding to do these heritage units, that would be so awesome!!! Also, I hope they stay in the eastern region just as the UP Heritage units are staying in the midwest to western regions.

  • well sometimes but very rarely like 7 times they have been in ohio

  • These Designs were made because Norfolk Southern was interested in if they did do a heritage program, what kind of paint and schemes to use, etc.. This guy ended up with the best ones to them, but they never did go through with this, at least as of yet.

  • @bnsf4 sure have! both video's are great.

  • Cool, but i cant see NS do that.

  • Dont for get NS 4610 which was repainted into Southern Paint. And NW 611 which is under primary ownership of the state of Virginia and Norfolk Southern

  • @bnsf4 Norfolk & western railway

  • yes they had made a virigian heritage unit the way i know this is that it is on ebay for 457 dollars blue and yellow and yellow NS logos and this is made by lionel and it is a sd70 ace

  • I know that NS has a GP59 in Southern colors already.

  • The best heritage unit that NS could do would be to repaint a pair of SD80s in Conrail Quality blue. I would love to see a NW and a Southern SD70M.

  • Have never seen these in Trains Magazine. If these real then that is the magazine where you might find them.I like the green and yellow SD70s tho.Have always liked the green and color combonation

  • Hate to be the guy who rains on the parade, but I don't think NS has ever considered or ever will consider doing a Heritage series like that. Those look like the product of a wishful-thinking railfan using a paint/art editor of some type. Don't get me wrong, they did a nice job whoever did it. On a more positive note, those would be perfect templates for a model railroader so-inspired to create a fictional NS heritage line - they would no-doubt be very popular in the modeling community.
