jonathan segel and band from the pioneertown festival sept. 2005. john hanes on drums, victor krummenacher on bass, myles boisen on guitar, jonathan segel on guitar and vocals
Incredible performance. The meandering beginning of the song is awesome, cause one isn't sure where it's going to go. It's moody before it falls into a comfortable groove. I hear a Jamaican influence in the rhythm guitar's off-beat skank, the thundering bass line which rarely accents the first beat and drums which accent the third beat of each measure. I love it!
I like the way the two guitars interplay with each other, the bassist keeps a good reggae beat reminding me of the times I went to festivals in Brixton. Great ruler action by Miles Boisen. Very nice tune.
God, I love the internets!!! Thanks for posting this, haven't heard this song in a long time!
