A longer backswing would not be recomended to an amateur golfer. The straight back leg might help those who don't complete their shoulder turn. A complete shoulder turn, (Back facing target) is a vital component in a sound golf swing.

My hips are sliding and my hip turn is to far, can this focus on keeping the knee flexed prevent my hips from turning and sliding to much?
