Stop the Palm Springs Prison

The county of Riverside intends to build a prison for 7,200 inmates at the Gateway to Palm Springs. Ultimately we will house 70% of all county criminals in our valley, even though we only have 25% of the population. Furthermore, as a retirement and resort community, we do not produce that much crime. Thousands of residents have signed a petition opposing the prison, but the county is intent on destroying our way of life.

To the maker of the video...
Though I agree with finding an alternative location of the Prison facility....I think your video Is offensive. The use of the Palm Springs Welcome sign is a great start...after that you lost me on the vignettes of buildings or "landmark" buildings of Rancho Mirage. There is more to Palm Springs than buildings in Rancho Mirage . If your going to "represent" Coachella Valley cities...Do it acurately...

I can't wait for this facility to open. I'm a nurse and would love to work in corrections here in the valley. Prisons=jobs, period.
