This is video recording of last international Speech of Jaswant Singh Khalra (a great martyr of Sikh Nation and Human Rights). This speech was delivered at a Gurudwara of Ontario, Toronto, Canada. This speech narrates the details of mass level human rights violations in Punjab, which he later paid for with his life.
Jaswant Singh Khalra (19521995) was a Sikh human rights activist against human rights violations in Punjab, India and later kidnapping, torture, and death at the hands of police made him a martyr in the eyes of the Sikh people
Jaswant Singh Khalra's contribution to the Humanity and Human Rights is evident from his work. He collected the Data and information of Sikhs Enforced to Disappear and latter eliminated by State's Disciplined Armed Forces and Cremated as unidentified by Punjab Police. This list contains the information of Sikhs cremated in just two tehsil (An Administrative Division) of Punjab. The Supreme Court of India and National Human Rights Commission of India has certified the validity of Data.
Jaswant Singh Khalra's assertion was that there would be more than 25000 Sikhs killed by State and cremated by showing them as unidentified and unclaimed, while there are many Sikh families waiting for their disappeared beloved ones.
In 1995, while washing his car in front of his house, Khalra was abducted by under-cover commandos of Punjab Police at behest of Senior Superintendent of Police Ajit Singh Sandhu and taken to Jhabal police station.Although witnesses gave statements implicating the police and have named former police chief Kanwar Pal Singh Gill (KPS GILL) as a conspirator police denied having ever arrested or detained him, and claimed to have no knowledge of his whereabouts.
This great man paid for telling the truth with his life.
