In 2004, when Jordan was in the 8th grade, she entered the Santa Barbara News Press 5K. She set a National Age- Group Record of 16:44!

If you want to see the NBC video of Jordan running at the Olympic Trials Search on Google "Shannon Rowbury Olympic 1500-Meter Final (video)". You can't help but feel Hasay has reached "Rock Star" status after watching it.

With Jordan leading, the first two showing up behind her are Christy Adamyk (in black) and Kevyn Murphy (yellow & green). Christy now runs at Duke, Kevyn is same grade as Jordan at Mira Costa HS. Later in the vid Kari Hardt from Queen Creek, AZ comes after her. Kari won her first NCAA XC meet this year (2008) while running for Arizona State and was a top finisher in this year's PAC-10 Championships.
