A fiddle duet by Rose Flanagan and Dylan Foley from New York, with guitar accompaniament by Donal Clarey, son of the legendary Liam Clarey of the Clarey Brothers. They play two reels: "The Lads of Laois" and "The First Month of Summer".
Dylan learned his music from Rose and her brother Brian Conway. At the end of the selection we see Donal's wife Mary and their two young children together with Mary's father, the legendary Mike Rafferty, who emigrated from his native East Galway in 1949.

I used be one of those lads of Laois when we would arrive into Flannerys bar in Manhatten I believe. Set dancing would be there every Wednesday night. Then it would be on to Cape May with the great Connie Ryan. Nice memories.

Why anyone would give this less than 5 stars is beyond me. But, then agian, people do some crazy stuff.
I want to play some of the songs I see in your video's, you're truly amazing at the fiddle. Currently, I am working on Symphonie Espagnole, it's classical, but do you have any tips for me?
And, I would like to say, the music you choose to perform is absoloutly divine. I wonder why you don't have more veiws? I'll try to get my friends to watch you some!

I learned this tune with a lot of trippled bows instead of the rolls used here My source is: a Shetland Islands fiddler. That gives this tune a competely different "feel". Nevertheless: Chapeua for excellent performance !!!! I really appreciate it
