I got curious about Howard W Hunter marriages after watching this video. I wanted to find out when he married his second wife so I did a search for that information and what I found out is that he married again in 1990. ( 7 years AFTER the death of his first wife).

I agree that the church wants to rewrite history to improve it's image but unless I found incorrect information, you cannot affirm that Hunter was the last polygamous prophet because his first wife was already dead when he remarried.

@freitas15 WHY are you making this so complicated? Its a smiple matter of applying MORmON doctrine just as MORmONS beg ppl to do. Eternal families based on eternal marriage is a chief LDS selling point.(did you not know that?) according to LDSconvention (no matter how wrong it is)Hunter's1st marriage was still inforce when he married another wife.By MORmON convention Hunter is STILL married to both women.Hinckley hoped ppl would be too stupid to notice this fact. @freitas15 any man with 2 wives is a polygamist. Hinckley himself confirmed that Hunter would have both women as spouses at the Inez Hunter memorial service.

That would make Hunter a polygamist.

FIRSTBALDWIN: Put it this way, adults should choose their way of life. We have 2 billion muslims that accept polygamy. We have 70-80% married Americans that have more than one partner. Do you know how many abortions a day in USA? ,....almost 3,000 /day, look the statistics about rape and child abuse in USA . Solve your problems first!!!

The point is that LDS INC & Gordon Hinckley can not be TRUTHFUL about the matter. AND anyone who lies can NOT be a prophet of God.
