  • FUNTCASE!!

  • @Haistapaska01 I have great respect for Simo Hayha, but to me Simo Hayha was NOT a sniper but a great rifleman & sometimes a submachine gunner in a target-rich environment. He was a good shot, no doubt about that but there's a difference between a great rifleman & a great sniper. In fact he never used a scope so that tells us that his kills were no longer than 300-400m max. Snipers consider double that range around 800m as easy shots. I could be wrong but i never read he killed from long ranges

  • what program is this from?

  • @DougsterCanada1 bet its a killing shot with your .408 cheytac paintball gun......hahahaha

  • why is it swedish subs sometimes??

    how do i know - i´m a swede - LOL

  • @ljlassi I think that you will see more and more of the "gut shooting", while I appreciate the "one shot, one kill", I know it takes way more resources to attend the wounded. It is often a war of attrition, plus at any great distance (with a 10 power scope) it's far less likely to make a head shot. I would always shoot for the "T" zone, sternum area.

  • @DougsterCanada1 Shooting to belly would lead to slow death or long hospitalization. Machine gunners are usually taught to shoot in belly. I dont know why snipers dont do that.

  • @Haistapaska01 Taking NOTHING away from his huge kill count, his courage, skills, or anything, but that was a "target rich environment" At the time, there were more Russians per square inch in Finland than cockroaches at a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant. I salute Simo Häyhä and respect his courage, he was/is a hero to freedom loving people everywhere and an icon in the sniping world. R.I.P.

  • "Do not shoot to wound?" (0:08) - Nothing wrong with a wounding shot (especially with a sniper caliber round). It takes far more of the enemy's resources to tend to a wounded soldier than to bury him. It is almost always a war of attrition in the long run. A wounded (shot) soldier will rarely be able to return fire, much less hold a weapon, so a wounding shot almost always eliminates a threat and demoralizes the enemy and depletes their resources. A kill shot is clean, but hey, it's war.
