Johns Hopkins University Responds to Allegations Toxic Sludge Tested as Lead Poisoning Fix in Poor Black Neighborhoods
Lawmakers and the NAACP last month called for an investigation into reports that federally funded scientific experiments in 2000 spread sewage sludge on the yards in poor black neighborhoods to test if it could fight lead poisoning in children. The calls came after the Associated Press ran a story on the issue. We host a debate between Dr. Michael Klag, Dean of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and Dr. Caroline Snyder, Professor Emeritus at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Was there a control group? Is there a group that has a placebo treatment?
Can an experiment really be done without proper controls?
Why is it so difficult for there to be TRANSPARENCY in this experiment?
Are the lab subjects aware of what it means to have their children in a scientific experiment?
Does the White House, Camden Yards and golf courses equate to poor black neihborhoods?

Class A EPA 503 compliant biosolids that are used on these poor black folks lawns are the same as those used on rich white people's lawns and golf courses and are proven perfectly safe. You can buy it at almost any garden center! This is just another attempt by the media to create a crisis where it doesn't exist. BTW, the soil was already contaminated and the biosolids have proven to reduce heavy metal intake of plants making it even safer. What a dumptruck load full of lies this is!
