Concierge Preferred (http://www.conciergepreferred.com) Concierge Correspondent Landon Moore of the W City Center Chicago hotel offers his picks what to do in Chicago this week.

As summer begins to wind down you will want to make the most of your time outdoors.

A great way to start off the day is by experiencing Chicago's world-renowned Lakefront Trail! Whether you want to run or bike it or just go for a leisurely stroll it's perfect for both active recreation and pure enjoyment. There's a plethora of parks, beaches and gardens along the way, too. Once you trek down by the museum campus, make sure to head down to Northerly Island Park to take in the incredible views - it's an incredible, off-the-beaten path that you are sure to enjoy. Need gear for the journey? Ask your concierge about the various stores in the area like Nike and Fleet Feet.

After you've worked up an appetite, head over to LUXBAR to enjoy an afternoon of feel good foods, a large outdoor patio, and refreshing specialty cocktails. One of my personal favorites is their Moscow Mule made with Vodka, Ginger Beer, and a splash of lime. LUXBAR is located in the Heart of Gold Coast, and provides a fantastic setting for gathering with friends and Great People Watching. Whether its Steaks, Chops, Mini Burgers, or Eggs served all day; there is something on the menu for everyone.

For the perfect end to your day, swing into Chicago's 33rd annual Jazz Festival. Once again the festival will happen in multiple locations including the Chicago Cultural Center, Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, and Grant Park. Festivities kick off Thursday with an opening event by the Chicago Jazz Ensemble and the weekend wraps up with two-time Grammy Award winner and trumpeter Roy Hargrove. The best thing about this Summer Celebration is IT"S FREE!!
