@Flieger671 - yep, M ... I was starting to feel those pedal-pushes - I like that tobacco assessment: one-dimensional - gonna keep that in my limited stable of terms and pull it out as needed - thanks for that ; ) - just about to fly down and visit the family in Calif - snowstorm in Calgary, Alberta, may delay those plans - fingers' crossed - MM

Starting to look a bit jaded there, my good sir. :-) Those store blends are weird. You hear very few pipe smokers addmiting to like them... or even ever smoke them at all. Still they seem to sell pretty well. The big brand here in Sweden is called "Hamilton's mixture". It's not bad, but it's a bit one-dimensional.
Last push! Go, go, go!!

@NorthGeorgiaPipe - hey, R - nice you're still moseyin' along with me - I'll tell ya ... after that ride, I think I could've drunk a can that size ; ) - the only grocery store blend that I actually enjoy is Captain Black White - has a 3-star average rating on tobaccoreviews by over 200 reviewers - it's my 'fall back/go to' baccy as needed - the ride's just about over - bye4now, MM

Huge Can!
I am not a fan of the store blends. I took a tin into my local tobacconist and he laughed at me, he told me no one would buy it, he had never seen one!
Arrgh~
Nice Max Moesy~
Cheers

Hey MM,
a Guinness, nice I would like to have one today...well...well, I don't like the borkum riffs, they somehow very sharp and loose the taste.
Cheers, Chris

@Sargecon1 - hi, C - I'm in California now and can't find a German wheat beer at the couple of liquor stores I've tried - have settled on trying a six-pack each of local wheat beers - so far, though, they don't taste near as good as that brewed in your country - guess I'll have to wait til I get back to Canada, eh? ; ) - take care, lad - MM - I agree with you about BK tobacco (at least the two blends I've tried - original & bourbon whiskey - oh well ... part of the adventure of pipe smoking)

The Borkum Riff is all over Spain. I bought a couple when I started smoking a pipe, but they are not good and they can bite like crazy - which won't help as you pedal along for a few hours. I can just picture the need for a nice cold Guinness after that! Enjoying the mosey.

@SpainPipe - hey, A - thanks for sharing the mosey with me - yeah ... the BK was a bite hot on the tongue - pretty dry - not too bad when I initially bought the pouch - don't think I'll purchase any more, or if I do, will mix in a little latakia to mellow the flavour - we'll see - take care, eh! - MM

Holy cow, it'll take you a long time to finish that Guiness! ;) I could tell you were getting a bit tuckered out there. Nice shot of the mountains...too bad you had to listen to traffic at that point. Thank goodness I live on a dead end road with very few homes and traffic noise. Looking forward to the end of the journey.
