PS: In Greek mythology Titans are *only* the sons and daughter that resulted from the uniono of Gea (the earth) and Uranos (the sky). The sons and daughters of the titans were also considered titans (like Prometheus, Helios[the sun] and Atlas).

Since Typhon was immortal as well he could not be killed, so Zeus trew the island of Sicily on him... and the fires of Etna are the result of Typhon's breath, who was still alive underneath.
He did not at all look humanoid but had a body like moltitude of interwine snakes with black tomgues, with a donkey's head with flaming eyes.
He could create powerful winds (hece the derivation of typhoon) and make terrifying noises.

Typhon (aka Typoheus) was definitvely NOT a Titan, but like Titans and the Giants he was one of Gea's sons. His father was Tartarus. He was spawned by Gea to take revenge after Zeus imprisoned the Titans in Tartarus (she tought it was an excessive punishment) and after the Gods defeated the Giants.
He defeated Zeus, but he was tricked into eating human flesh, which weakened him and allowed Zeus to finally defeat him.

what is typhon the titan of?
kratos1076 2 years ago 4
titans often represented the primal concepts given by their names.
Typhon was in fact the most fearsome titan, who sought to destroy Zeus, but was trapped under Mt. Etna and was defeated.
His name is thought to resemble Typhoons or wind b/c of it's Greek derivatives.
