Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) is surging in the polls, but that doesn't prevent Zo from telling you why he isn't supporting this Texas congressman's presidential bid. Hear more.
Wait.....maybe I missed something. When did Ron say we got what we deserved? He merely explained cause and effect. He never said we deserved the effect.
@soCernunnos The Department of the Navy was founded in 1798, Jefferson elected President in 1800. In the 1790s Jefferson opposed spending 20% of the US budget on ransom to pirates while the country was still in debt and could trade more profitably and less expensively in the Pacific. As President, Jefferson obtained constitutional authorisation from Congress (1802) and expanded US naval activity in the Atlantic, WHEN AMERICA COULD AFFORD IT AND WASN'T UP TO ITS EARS IN DEBT.
@thecriticalg You mean Jefferson who had to rebuild the US Navy after he scrapped the one created by Adams and whose first action with it was to send it into the Middle East to stabilize shipping, guard American interests, and implement interventionist policy? He wasted billions of today's dollars on his "cost saving" acts and almost lost a war yet Paul is foolish enough to want to imitate him on defense spending.
Please, you are embarrassing yourself! Or are you being prophetic?
