The first game I ever played \m/

That squeaky noise when he climbs the ropes - memories.
-
I still play this game on my 6128, along with Oh Mummy.

The random maps made this game frustrating because it meant that you could not learn your way through the different levels. Also as someone else rightly said and as this particular video shows I dont think some maps were actually possible. Would have been a much better game if the the maps for level 1,2,3 and so on were the same each time. Laughed when I saw old roland - took me back a few years.

*that came with our 464. Stupid Youtube. Where's the 'edit post' button?

Out of all the games we had that game with our 464, this was THE most unreliable one - in that I could never, ever get it to load. It would always, ALWAYS throw a "read error b" at me a few minutes in. Sultan's Maze was arguably worse though, because I could only get it to work once or twice, and every other time I'd get "Read error b" after about fifteen minutes. And you had to start all over when it happened. Aggravating.

The graphics and SFX on this game always used to give me headaches.

First game I ever played on the old CPC6128 back in the 1980s, and one of the best. No instructions, so thanks for mentioning some never could be solved; I always wondered why I could never get them out.

@schnubbel76 That 'sshripp' noise still sets my teeth on edge.
oh boy, i spent so much time of my youth playing that fucking hard game. :-)
I remember sometimes i got full of panic and paranoia with all those ghosts behind me an coming through the walls.
I hated it. I loved it.
