Elizabeth Edwards deserves the cancer she has

John Edwards rolled out the old pig Liz Edwards at noontime using her to get a quick free hour of national TV time. As most imagined, he made sure not to schedule the press conference at the steps of his new mansion.

Sure is ironic that the man who made $millions suing doctors and hospitals now needs a doctor and hospital to treat his fat pig wife.

During his 20 years of suing doctors and hospitals, he pioneered the art of blaming psychiatrists for patients who commit suicide and blaming doctors for delivering babies with cerebral palsy, according to doctors, fellow lawyers and legal observers who followed Mr. Edwards' career in North Carolina. "The John Edwards we know crushed [obstetrics, gynecology] and neurosurgery in North Carolina," said Dr. Craig VanDerVeer, a Charlotte neurosurgeon. "As a result, thousands of patients lost their health care."

One of his most noted victories was a $23 million settlement he got from a 1995 case — his last before joining the Senate — in which he sued the doctor, gynecological clinic, anesthesiologist and hospital involved in the birth of Bailey Griffin, who had cerebral palsy and other medical problems. Linking complications during childbirth to cerebral palsy became a specialty for Mr. Edwards.

In 2003, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists published a joint study that cast serious doubt on whether events at childbirth cause cerebral palsy. The "vast majority" of cerebral palsy cases originate long before childbirth, according to the study.

Elizabeth Edwards, you deserve cancer for the rotten selfish actions of your family.

I CAN NOT BELIEVE SOME ONE WOULD SAY THAT ANOTHER PERSON DESERVES CANCER. YOU NEED HELP, SHAME ONE YOU. It is going to be so devastating when this person's life is affected by cancer, which it most definitly will since it hits every family eventually-then he will realize what he has done by making such a foul statement. The pain and guilt will be hard, but necessary, because otherwise he would have never realized how disgusting these words really are.

I think they are refering to the poetic justice they feel from all the doctors John has sued. I guess because Elizabeth is living off those gains is what this is about...Well, anyone can have an opinion as to why she has this dread disease.

i don't feel that anyone deserves cancer based on the actions of the family. cancer is a horrible disease and to say that about someone doesn't give a great impression on your own characteristics. I pray for the cure for cancer so that no one has to go through what i watched my grandmother and aunt go through this year with their fights with cancer. My aunt and grandmother both lost their lives to cancer early this past summer. Cancer is not something i would wish on my worst enemies.
