  • Townes sings to a side of us we often don't like to visit, but with words and a haunting tune we have to listen to.

  • everysinglenamesgone says "Oh, if I could only visit the past."

Well, that's what we're doing here, no? From oral storytelling to DVD's, humans have been figuring out ways to preserve the past with improved fidelity. Now, with a few mouse clicks, you can select the genre, artist, tune, and specific performance that you wish to "visit"--all because people across the globe care enough to share. I think that Townes would appreciate the technology.

  • No singer today can rip your heart out and knock you to your knees quite like Townes could, makes me cry in awe.

  • @willong1000 ...yea man...i agree...i wonder if youtube executives realize what they have here? 500 yrs from now..if youtube is still around...you will be able to look at music made at that time...what if we could look back now...on 500 yrs of music....imagine the great artists we could watch...i hope they understand the historical significance of what they have here....its the history of mankind...watch fashion vids..cooking vids..music, and everything....a history of man in sound and image
