Nice, everyone's got to start somewhere! Take into consideration the tonal qualities, this a four to floor song so you need a punchy bassline playing the 1,2,3,4 beats. When you play E on the 2nd fret of the D string play the E on the 7th fret of the A string, it will sound more bassy and have more punch to it, also don't let the notes ring too long! Hope this helps :)
