Hi shockme001.
This is JakesFreights. I was wondering if you know my Uncle Mark Bau. He is a metro driver as well and has been working for about 10 years

@shockme001 could you upload a video of the alamein line? in particular riversdale to willison, as they are such a short distance, it would be cool to see from the drivers view :)

@shockme001 Most of the trains up here in Sydney have 3 types of horn, town which is a low sound, country which is a loud sound and both which is town/country combined.
Although since July 2010 train drivers in Sydney no longer have to sound the horn departing Platforms but i still continue to do so.

For XxSton3ColdN1njaxX no. There is a signal box at upper gully that does that.

Hi there , just a question, with Driving those trains do they put you on a specific line to drive the trains or can u choose ur own line?
-
is that the one in metro colurs
-
Did you record this yourself personally, or got it from a mate driving - just curious. Awesome stuff though
-
The old Puffing Billy Line. Well the start of it.

@trezza181 yer, i was thinking that too. If it wasn't for that (I've heard story from yarra tram workers though they dont do trains), i would apple asap to be a train driver. Anything big that's a machine and hums i want lol
-
How do you become a train driver, I think it would be a pretty cool job seeing as I find large and heavy machines interesting, the only thing that puts me off about it is the fact that I may have to deal with someone committing suicide. How often does it actually happen?
these are the sexiext sounding trains ever! Only thing "wrong" is when you guys blow ya horns at richmond and it echoes down the tunnel. Hurts like a bitch!!! Do you really have to to that? :P

@makmegs "Hurts like a Bitch" LOL. The 2nd series Xtraps have a low tone push button option for the horn/whistle. A great option for the Loop and locations like Richmond etc. If I get an Xtrap tonight, I'll listen very carefully to see if I can hear the 'Sexy' sound. Never heard a Sexy train yet... Thanks for your comments.

@makmegs They're French and they're loud. I'll get back to you on that one.
