This is an overly belated response to gimmeabrakman's question where were you on 911.

I was staying at my parents home in Tennessee at the time getting ready to move to Japan that very month of september of 2001. The week of 911 was suppose to be spent making travel arrangements and flight reservations.

3 months later I finally decided on the spur of the moment to take the plunge with less than a week's preparation and less than half the money I saved up.

911 was a day of grief, anger, and confusion for me. The worst part was the video of the WTC jumpers. That really bothered me for a long time.

I recorded this at 1 in the morning after a few drinks at the Hub Pub so sorry if I ramble on a bit.

  • Watched. Thanks. So you came to Japan too! Small world. We were here at the same time.

  • Yeah, but I came three months later due to the ahem "delay" of 911

  • i was 5 years old. I had no idea what was happening but my mum looked destressed. I was living in London at the time.

  • lets see..... i was only 5..... 1st or second grade.... not knowing wth was going on.... taking a nap... geting a thing of pudding... and sleeping...

  • i think i love you..i havent watched the first vid yet but im on my way ...so what are you doing now in japan?? how was egypt...and isreal..pretty or no?

  • Nice idea but i don't speak for everyone but some people maight argue that they would rather die fast then remain quadraplijique for the rest of their lives, i dunno. (That's if they land hard enough to damage themselves with a parachute, but not hard enough that it's fatal).

  • Wow I heard about that but I didn't beleve it.

  • They should put parachute packs in high rise buildings. You know, like the ones people use to base jump off mountains. Why not? At least they have a fighting chance

  • Have you seen or heard of the story about the man who was in the office that the nose of the plane hit? I dunno which building it was but he survivd and told the story of how he saw the plane coming straight at him. Pretty unblievable.

It was a very shocking day for me, i was very young and hardly understood but now that i think of it, it was a very shocking event for me, and i knew the world would never be the same again.
