by Thelonious Monk, 1917-1982 arr. Carol Canning
soloists Carol Canning and Michael Dore w The New Swingle Singers
Ms Canning was nervous as this was the premiere of her arrangement
b/c my clips are from the radio recorded onto analog tape, there is background radio noise and tape hiss...
despite that, i think the performances come across well to be thoroughly enjoyed...
BRAVO! Ms Canning

Nice interpretation, I've never heard it as a choral piece. I really enjoyed. Great musicality

Thanks for posting this. I heard this haunting melody performed live (on Minnesota Public Radio?) many, many years ago by the New Swingle Singers but could never find it again. It stuck with me all these years. What a pleasure... was this ever released on an album?
