current generation has to compete with more talented and lager number of contestants than those judges who would have been in their time 2 to 3 decades ago.

@youisfun I agree completely. As armchair critics it is easy to find flaws but these youngsters have shown an amazing ability adapt to the pressure situation and perform well under those circumstances.
Looking at the whole competition ( I wd prefer to call it as a 'performance parade') carnatic music lovers can rest assured that the rich heritage is in safe hands of these youngsters. May ll these young ones grow into accomplished and successful artistes in the near future.

The improvisating talent of these singers speaks much more than their command on their singing. They also have an equal command over the music, which is greatly appreciable. Wonderful!
