I sometimes feel the pain of the samurai, some of these movies are based

on true stories, almost teared up a couple of times, sigh. It's all so heartbreaking.

When you actually look at the movies, the story tells yout what drives them to commit seppuku.

The samurais are angry, shamed,bitter,even sad and feels guilt for dishonoring the tribe.

I know that these videos are movies, otherwise there would be a viewer discretion on

it. However, you can feel the emotions,

When you hear a story, or you see someone portraying a victim of seppuku, it really is

a heart tugging and emotional story, the samurais at times are crying as they commit

seppuku.

Exactly. I don't think being forced to do it is good, however, as you mentioned, if it's done to free themselves from shame, then that's another thing. Seppuku to samurais is like taking pills,

shooting or hanging one's self here in america, it's a desperate act, they are so shamed, upset and saddened by what happened that they don't see any other way to ease the pain,

so without a minute hesitation. Bam, knife in belly,disembowelmint and decapitation.

Sad, really heartbreaking.

@PrincessSpearmint It wasn't a punishment for them, it was more like setting themself free from shame. But sometimes they were forced to it, so its not that noble.

@rtms1988 I agree with you. I don't judge them either, it's just that I don't agree with

what they chose for their punisment, it's so harsh. I think the worst part is, you don't

have a chance to fix things, it's so final,. I think it's a heartbreaking choice, think of the

families and friends of these poor men about to painfully die. Suicide, Harakiri or

sepuku. Painful way to die!

@ingush06azamat Yeah, I've heard about it, but I don't agree. Well, it's my right to think this way. And I've forgotten to say that I don't judge the Samurais or other kind warriors, only the act to suicide, which I don't agree.
