  • @51wins yeah I would like an official Norn Iron flag along with the union flag, the welsh have their dragon, english cross of St george and scots st Andrew. Our flag ceased being offical in the 70s :( I'd be happy if it was made official again if I'm honest although some(including unionists)cant identify with the cross of St George design.I agree with you on St. Patrck's cross although some people in the RoI who use it mightnt like it but that a different debeat 4a different time/place

  • @Sammy1234568910

Neither side would agree, Unionists just the Union Jack and already have a flag based on Northern Ireland (the red hand).

Nationalists don't have a Northern Ireland flag so I can understand SOME wanting to have one...so you maybe right Unionism already having a flag for NI may be the biggest task to convince.

If any flag is suitable its the St. Patrick's cross just left blank without the emblems on it. It brings all communities together in the name of St.Patrick

  • @51wins Unfortunately that may be so of political parties, but I have spoken to Catholic friends from Donegal who liked the idea. The only opposition I have received have been from Protestant friends The fact is NI is the only part of the UK with no official emblem I personally wouldn't mind old NI Flag. But I believe we should set the example and try to get a flag for all, that way da world will see we r trying. I dont no why SF dont like it, it is used south of the border aswell eg RCOS Ire flag

  • Nationalists would turn down everyone you propose...you don't understand they don't want another flag for Norn Iron...they are only interested in destroying everything British.

The St. Patrick's cross a cross-community flag Sinn Fein don't even accept it because they somehow consider it not to be Irish.
