  • they flew straight over my head in 1980 in Basra, They was three and i was 14 years old, you took us back in time my friend. Allah bless all Iraqi pilots who died and those who live from 1980-2003. We shall return.

  • Hello did the Czech air force use MiG-21bis before?

  • Sorry for my mistake - this is MiG-21SMT, built in Gorky, plant #21, for USSR airforce. Plant 21 airframes had "50..." in serial number (see at left wing stations)

  • Only 15 aircrafts of this version were produced in 1971 in Moscow on Plant #30. This variant was intended to be export version with enlarged range as a main feature (900 ltr dorsal tank). No export followed, however. More aircrafts were produced for domestic use as MiG-21SMT at Plant #21 at Gorky, USSR.

  • This is very rare variant named MiG-21MT
