Not massively impressive, but first time trying to dismount from high bar and I think I did ok :) Took a while to build up the confidence to let go and attempt it. 5/12/2011

  • Thats called a fly-away... Im a tracuer (freerunner/parkourist)

do u do bar gymnastics or do you just do tricks that u want to learn?

I learned mine at Tempest Freerunning Academy...

you should search that up and see the gym vid

  • @Roaringsword1 I did gymnastics when I was younger but at the moment I am just tricking and learning anything that takes my interest :) Ill have a look at your gym now.

  • Yer kicking the bar was one of the biggest fears that I had for this :) and the back / front thing is personal preference I know quite a lot of people who prefer front to back somersaults I just struggle landing them always open too early. Also I did gymnastics about a decade ago but got into tricking this year so been getting back into it ^-^

  • i dont have the balls for this lol, i figured frontflipping was easier cause i can see where i am =D

  • @supfreerun I always find back somersaults easier as you can spot your landings because your looking at the floor as you come round. Front somersaults you are landing blind as your looking up or forward so you can see the floor :) & Believe me it took me a few weeks to work up the confidence to do this and it was really easy once I worked up the courage to let go >.<

  • well tbh, im not a gymnast but a trampoline jumper and on rare occasions i find myself in a gymnastics hall with a bar. but i barely have time to build up confidince, my only fear is kicking the bar. really dont want that to happen. once i let go and dont kick the bar the rest is no problem at all. bieng used to making lots of frontflip i control them and always know where i am, resulting into making front easier then back for me =D
