"It's not how many albums you sell, it's the memorable stories you tell." The music industry will have us to think that Lil Wayne is the greatest of all time by looking at the albums he has flying off the shelves, but what we don't see is Jay-Z, Eninem, Diddy, and Common with those old Rakim cassettes on their bookshelf. The industry is now into promotional gimmicks poured over wicked beats, not understanding that their audience is growing up and now seek lyrical content that makes them think..

That dude in the yellow shirt is looking at Rakim like "F--- that n!@@a."

@GlowInTheDark707 Hmm... The power to define... Actually a "Free Style" Is a verse thats not too any song... A brainstorm is when ya come off the top... Different regions view this concept differently... In Chicago a freestyle is off the dome... In New York a freestyle is just a hot verse of any length without a hook or chorus... This man changed the way MCs constructed their flows and wordplay... "lack of respect and Honor" One of the many downfalls of this society...

Memorized does not equal Freestyle. Rakim is untouchable regardless.

Awwwwwww shiiiit! Rakim, seriously, is a cool-as-a-fuck brother: super smooth, lyrically undefeated, he still holds it down, and nobody can step to the God, not Nas, not GZA, not even KRS. No, this brother is as deep and metaphysical as it gets, and his flow!!! Damn, it's nice.
