@1944johndeerel hey, speaking of wisconsin engines, how is your big twin coming along?

You can make a hand crank easily enough with a short piece of one inch pipe that is notched properly and a piece of rod that is bent at a 90 degree angle for the handle. You can either weld it to the pipe or drill a hole through the pipe and push the handle through it. I got my agnd running good last night using the hand crank and it did start easier than I thought it would. Just need to watch out for the occasional kick back. Happy motoring ; )

@nlightened2 I'm not too worried about having a hand crank since I've got electric start on this one. Nice to hear you got yours running :)

I just got a AGND that needed some tlc to get running. Apparently they all didn't come with the electric starter.

@nlightened2 yes, the electric start was an option, as you can see it has the space on the front for a hand crank, but I don't have the crank for it

Sweet.....I just had a King Midget (Look that up on youtube) in my shop that the Wisconsin hadn't ran since it was rebuilt over 3 years ago. I didn't get the numbers off it, but it has the external distributor. Anyhow....after a couple hours of getting the point gap, timing and carb settings worked out it started and purred like a kitten. Can you imagine a CAR powered by a 9 and 1/2 hp Wisconsin? lol...That engine sounds good at idle! Oh..the Wisconsin I worked on was a 1962 model.

@ZippoVarga They're great engines as long as the magneto is working right, this particular one is a 12.5hp model.
