Maybe the mystery itself is more worth than the possible 'treasure..

@Ziggurathss I think the technology is there now. The pit with the ladders down, pipes etc. is that the original pit? I've read that there are several shafts. The original pit supposedly had a tree with marks of rope or something on a branch that hanged over the pit.

Thanks for sharing. The Money Pit has always fascinated me, not because of the mystery of treasure, yet rather the mystery of who exactly built it, how they built it, and who had the brains to design it. I like to think there is something much more to it than just treasure. :)

there aint no alien technology down that hole.......its either sumthin very expensive or sumthin extremely dangerous..........but then again there could be just a note that reads " nice work but your too late sucker" :)

@Ziggurathss The mystery would be worth more then the teasure if there is no treasure down there at all. But obviously there is because why would they build this

Its so elaborate there has to be something amazing down there. People who have won the lottery should band together and fund an excavation project!

I am from Nova Scotia. I was born in North Sydney and grew up in Sydney. And am fascinated

with the money pit and what it may be. I had a UFO experiance when I was at St.F.X.U. in Antigonish N.S. I saw a UFO right in front of me it was 1974. It was a clear night and I saw it clearly. And I know we are not alone. I was not scared and felt blessed that I saw it.

actually its a levi for the island, so pple at night could see by candle or lanter if ships where aproching

perhaps the mystery is worth more than the treasure.....what if we find it and it's simply old currency? no ark of the covenant, no holy grail, just....currency. or maybe there's enough treasure down there to clear the US out of debt

It was discovered in the 1700s, and who even knows how long it was there BEFORE that....

There's no possible way any humanbeing during the 1700s (or before) could have manufactured such an incredible system. Its a defense system..somethings down there that someone / thing is protecting.

I wouldn't go down there honestly.
