Infamous SLP LM1 drone, highway cruising

The major drawback with the SLP Loudmouth I, to some folks, is the drone on the highway. Well here it is in the flesh. Obviously it's louder in person, but hopefully this will give a basic idea so people can make a better informed decision before their purchase. Enjoy.

ok, so i was going to purchase this for my car (cutlass supreme 3.1L). i have a thrush welded that drones like this and i want to bash my head on the window when it comes to long drives. whats the difference between the loudmouth 1 and 2? i want to get away from the drone. awesome video by the way.

@b13folife The LM1and LM2 are essentially the same system in the the piping is all the same. The LM1 uses resonators where the mufflers should be and the LM2 uses mufflers. I can easily turn my LM1 system into the LM2 by buying the mufflers and replacing the resonators that are on right now.

I have magnaflows and they sound exactly the same when im cruising, but i love it! Nothing better than hearing that Hemi purr the whole time your driving!

Drone is one of the best parts of LM1... If I wanted me car to be quite at speed, I'd buy an electric or hybrid. LET ME HEAR IT!!

I could live with that, my old car was that loud inside (just not as deep). I dont really like quiet cars.

@IrishChargerRT I think it also destroys your hearing threshold but of course you won't know it until you can no longer "hear" the droning - LoL! Oh to be young again...

@von32897 I have the Magnaflow Catback and I love it, especially if your in autostick you can get some real throaty notes when you go through all the gears that way. I think you would like it alot, and when you gear down you get some nice throaty response. Good luck with your choice, hope that helps! @ixxdragonflyxxi - Besides the pipe difference between the two, how does the sound compare? Is one louder then the other? I'm looking for that deep aggressive sound similiar to a CLS55 AMG with a reso delete.

Did you disable MDS? I'm pretty sure this drone is from the MDS being activated, I have heard that people with the LM1's with stock manifolds and predator tune with MDS disabled don't get a lot of drone.
