@Silkie341 I disagree with the "top predator" comment, mostly because of the fact that we rely on modern technology to stay in such a position. As I like to say, guns are cheap. The brains are our "Secret Weapon," agreed, but it still doesn't make up for our dependency on tools and technology. I can accept the use of stone axes and other such tools, but the average human, not the "runt of the litter" or "pack leader," would NOT be able to kill an average lioness with only their bare hands.

@MrMaillouxB That's what brains and opposable thumbs are for. Using these and the tools they can make human beings have killed vastly more lions than lions have killed humans. This is why lions will run at the sight of Masai as they don't fancy ending up as a decorative pelt. We are the top predator on the planet but obviously ever pack has it's runts who never learnt to hunt.

@rockdeleste Lions are predators, so I doubt that.
If I was in a glass box I'd flip people off all day and watch their reactions :D
@rockdeleste "more babies die from our hands than eaten by a lioness." You do of course realize that for your argument to be even remotely valid we would all have to let are children interact with lionesses on a daily basis.

@rockdeleste That's because the lions are captive behind bars. If we let babies into an area with lions i'm sure the babies that die by human hands and babies that die by lions would be the same o __o
