In this clip he talks about the formation of the Iranian government. He discusses the Islamic aspects of such a government and also talks about the religious leader.

Ayatollah Dr. Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini Beheshti (Persian: محمد حسینی بهشتی), (October 24, 1928 - June 28, 1981) was an Iranian cleric, the secretary-general of the Islamic Republic Party, and the head of the Islamic Republic's judicial system. He was assassinated together with more than seventy members of the Islamic Republic party on June 28, 1981.

  • he was the best, god may bless him

  • And actually, even if you were to have a vote every few years, the "Islamic Republic" model would still win because most people are in favor of it. Most Iranians are in favor of it. The small, but loud dissenters of the Islamic Republic are largely exiles and brats from north Tehran.

Obviously, it's not perfect, but it's the best system of government, considering that Iran is ~97% Shia. Bush's approval ratings ended up being ~33%. Does that mean that America should get rid of Democracy? no

Go Iran, you are an inspiration of vision, independance and freedom to all countries...

  • May Allah (SWT) bless this Shahid.

  • Dr. Beheshti was a Good man, a sage and noble Man. He has nothing to do with what currently is taking place in Iran. During his time he defended many Iranian from all walks of life and if he was alive the current situation in Iran would be totally different. That is why the Regime arrested his son.

  • kos kesh

  • That is not the way of twelver shia, when people can choose their own religios leaders. Wilayat al Faqhi = Bidat Dictatorship
