Go Iran, you are an inspiration of vision, independance and freedom to all countries...

Dr. Beheshti was a Good man, a sage and noble Man. He has nothing to do with what currently is taking place in Iran. During his time he defended many Iranian from all walks of life and if he was alive the current situation in Iran would be totally different. That is why the Regime arrested his son.

That is not the way of twelver shia, when people can choose their own religios leaders. Wilayat al Faqhi = Bidat Dictatorship

And actually, even if you were to have a vote every few years, the "Islamic Republic" model would still win because most people are in favor of it. Most Iranians are in favor of it. The small, but loud dissenters of the Islamic Republic are largely exiles and brats from north Tehran.
Obviously, it's not perfect, but it's the best system of government, considering that Iran is ~97% Shia. Bush's approval ratings ended up being ~33%. Does that mean that America should get rid of Democracy? no
