No not at all. Bonnamasa sounds nothing like trucks. Derek is much much more raw in his sound and has alot of gospel , world, latin and jazz influence. Bonnamasa is kind of more like clapton imo he is a blues purist in alot of ways but also has a more comercial sound and doesnt have nearly as much musical depth as turcks. A track like STOP by Joe is a good example of how he is more comercial then derek imo. Enjoy both of their music but listen to more from both of them and you might see my view
