&--- She had Kairi.
That was all we knew.
Sora and I went after her. Neither of us wanted Kairi to lose her heart like last time. All that was on our minds was rescue.
"All alone..." her voice came from within the castle.
We were separated. Sora was thrown into the lightest part of the castle, and I was thrown to the darkest. I don't know how she did it, but it happened.
She was watching. I turned around abruptly. She wasn't there. "Hello." She whispered from behind me. I waited for her to attack or to cast me back to the island. All she did was stand and look at me, scanning me over with her eyes.
"Hello." She whispered again. Sora appeared, and she vanished.
From somewhere within the depths of the darkness she whispered,
"And we are now ready to begin the test proper."
Sora and I each leapt at each other and we were both thrown backwards. We wanted to stop the other from reaching Kairi first. I wanted to be the hero this time.
"All alone." She repeated herself once more.
Kairi.
Sora got there first. I looked down upon them as he tried to wake her, but in vain. I couldn't help but be happy Kairi would not wake for Sora as she always did.
--"The device has been modified." Came her whisper and Kairi's eyes opened.
No! I thought. Kairi wrapped her arms around Sora in a silent thank you. I was overwhelmed with jealousy. That should be me.
I transformed and quickly shot my darkness at the two. I was no longer apart of the trio we once had been. That was very clear to me.
"All alone." She told me. "There you are again..."
Kairi reacted first. She called to me, but I did not hear. Sora prepared himself for the blow, but Kairi grabbed him by the hand. They ran away from me. She ran away from me...
I knelt, panting, and transformed back.
"I don't hate you." She whispered to me.
A white room... I was in a white room. I looked around and there she was.
"Well you found me."
She nodded.
"Congratulations."
I ran at her, but she disappeared right before my very eyes. I turned around and she reappeared, and then vanished before I could even react.
Once more, she was in front of me. I held my ground.
"Was it worth it?" she asked.
I looked at the ground. What was she talking about?
"The only thing you've managed to break so far..."
I looked up at her and I could've sworn her eyes turned red.
------♥"Is my heart."
She finished, resting her hand on her heart.
"This isn't brave." She smiled. "It's murder."
It was frightening that she continued to smile.
"What did I ever do to you?" She asked.
Once again, she was gone. I looked down, and then balled my fist in determination. I was returning home.
"You don't even care?" her voice rang inside my head.
-"Do you?"-------
Falling... I was falling. Where was I and what had she done with me? I landed and looked down at the floor.
"Please proceed into
---Android Hell."
I screamed. I would not stay here! Memories from long ago, back in Hollow Bastion filled my head. I protect Kairi then, why couldn't I do it now?
In anger, I transformed.
"Android Hell." She whispered from behind me, her form muffled by Kairi's.
I attacked but she avoided once more. I saw Kairi, but she flickered into my mind. No! I thought angrily as I was once again thrown into darkness.
"Weighted storage cube, destroyed." She told me.
Was she here?
I didn't see her, but I saw Kairi. Her light blinded me, even only as a memory, here in the darkness. I looked up. There she was, an angelic demon. She turned to me, but faded to Kairi. No!
Light hit my heart, throwing me backwards. I looked up at her, and she looked down on me sadly. Then all I felt was pain... and she smiled.
Darkness once again. I was back where I started.
"Thank you for participating in this
aperture science computer aided
enrichment activity."
Her emotionless, robotic toned echoed.
"Goodbye."
`~';goodbye..." A softer and more loving voiced followed.
I woke up. I looked around.
"Where am I?" I asked aloud to no one in particular.
"Are you still there?"
she whispered in the same softer and loving tone. My eyes shot opened. I saw her. And I swear her body was outlined in a bloody red.
Blackout.
