Quick overview of the PseudoTV for XBMC.
XBMC is a piece of software that lets you organize and play videos on a computer, or a computer hooked up to a television.
PseudoTV is a plugin for XBMC that takes files from your library and stitches them together into "channels," a familiar metaphor from oldschool cable TV. But with PseudoTV you can set rules that define channels; these rules are based on the metadata stored by XBMC, like year, genre, length, rating, writer, and many others.
I have, for instance, a channel that is exclusively Action movies released between 1980 and 1995, a channel that is IMDB movies with ratings of 8.0 and higher, a 24/7 classic Simpsons channel, a channel of shows written by Larry David, and set of channels that compile all the best shows from FOX, HBO, NBC, AMC and others.
This is running on XBMC Live on an Acer Revo 3610 with videos feeding in from a Netgear ReadyNAS NV+.
I love psudo TV. I have a 6.5TB server and its just amazing with this thing.

@REALKILLADEALRECORDS yeah very cool. If there is anything other than tv catchup plugin that will play live tv without a tv tuner card I would love to know!

@REALKILLADEALRECORDS 1. No you cant. Pseudo TV just sets your programs up in EPG format which is reeally nice....
2. No you cant.
3. I watch every movie (over 300) and every TV Show I have through XBMC on my 40" TV.

@dukeminster you can watch live television
you can stream movies in seconds instead of downloading them trhough torrents
so you must not watch many movies on your comp lol thas why its no use to you

XBMC noob here... I just installed it on Windows 7. So far lovin' it :) I saw the PseudoTv add on and tried to run it but it fails to open. Do I need to install anything before running the pseudoTv add on?
