  • Even after their heyday, the Beach Boys could still create great songs like this one!

  • I am a true Beach Boy fan I can accept anything they recorded, whether its good or bad really makes no difference in the long run. I think thats the point, they've had such a long run, 50 years nothing else really matters. I can't say this is my favorite tune, can't say its my least favorite. I know I know Brian is, was, and always will be the man, but Carl and Dennis made their valuable contributions too.

  • Those lovely little soaring harmony bits are classic BW .. as good as anything he's ever done.

  • @NEWGUY562 : I was in high school when Pet Sounds came out. It was far ahead of it's time and yeah, I loved it. A lot of their earlier songs were great. The one side of Today was fantastic and a prelude to Pet Sounds. Friends has to be one of their most underrated albums. Many songs on Sunflower are great and 20/20 has a number of gems on it besides the songs that should have been on Smile in 1967. To list my top 10 songs in equivalent to ask me to argue with myself. I've too many favorites.

  • @pmoyer50 i'm glad u agree :) . no way..the night was so young has the sweetest guitar riff ever. and it's definately one of my favs out of all their post pet sounds career :)..

u probably a big fan of pet sounds and the stuff b4 that huh?

wats ur top 10 bb songs?

  • @NEWGUY562 : As to the ending of 'Til I Die being the best part of the song I have to agree with you. Overall, I think that melody beats The Night Was So Young, though. This album was the last Beach Boys album that had a lot of influence from Brian. Their subsequent albums I really don't care for too much. Maybe a few songs here and there were okay. If it wouldn't have been for the Mikey factor, the original Smile would have debuted in 1967 and God only knows what that would have done for them.

  • @pmoyer50 well ur entitled to your own opinion. the guitar riff for this song is better than anything on til i die...the best part about "til i die" is the ending i love it alot. where brian sings "until i die"

  • @NEWGUY562 : If you insist that the song on this site is better than 'Til I Die that's your choice. It's my opinion that you have poor taste.

  • @pmoyer50 i've heard "til i die" which is one surf's up...i've heard every song they made that was released.

  • @NEWGUY562 : I'm a big Beach Boys fan and I don't buy your statement at all. I guess you never heard 'Til I Die, did you?
