this guy is one of the greaatest english footballers that ever lived, yes its hard to believe that he would play football for free, but after playing for england for 8-10 years he derserves a lot of respect!!!

@jfrusciante33 think of the money side like this.... Football clubs are like businesses, business's that get money entertaining millions world wide. These business's bring in the best entertainers (footballers) they can get hold of, they then pay their entertainers a share of the businesses income (this share is bigger or smaller) depending on how good you are. Sounds fair to me. Footballers need the talent and mentality that is very hard to find, to make it big (like qualifications from uni).

@comicvalue people would play football for free, people do, every Sunday there are over 20's games going on, some of the small clubs you pay for to be part of the club. Thats what it is like for people who love football, as he does.

I do like David Beckham but it pees me off when he says he doesn't play for money. Ok I wish somebody would take his millions away and then say right now play football, would he play then for nothing, my ass he would!!
