It's got emotion, but expressed through a "cool" attittude, maybe that's why you don't get it. Jazz (and bossa nova is derived from it) traces it's history to both African and European traditions, and in Europe (Italy in fact) sprezzatura was an aesthetic value of achieving something difficult without (apparent) effort as exemplified by this man here.
playing is ok, just guitar and effect are not nice for bossanova who is played clean with classical guitar or jazz.. anyhow I'm sure on a different guitar it would sound better!
