Oh, and don't forget the pesky, annoying, itchy scary sandflies! Broome and Port Douglas in the Far North Queensland are similar with their botique style treet charms and appeal, but Port Douglas is WAY BETTER and not boring. At least over in the Far North Queensland like Cairns and Port Douglas you actually experience something beautiful and fun and interesting, and it's so much more worth your penny plus you're not totally in the middle of nowhere.

Broome? Beautiful for one day, the rest boring, boring, boring!!! Too expensive, nothing to see, nothing much to do, Lots of drunk people at night on the street (very dangerous), and locals not so friendly (snobby actually). Overly expensive with nothing to offer and just plain overrated! Seen it, hated it!

Yes Broome is boring if you are only in to shopping..Broome is the gate way to the Kimberley, one flight over the Kimberley would make a trip to Broome more interesting...Dont go to Broome for the night life. Go to Las Vegas,now that's another story.
