Former state lottery commissioner Kevin Geddings is now in a federal prison in Georgia.
Geddings reported to the prison yesterday to begin serving his four-year term for federal corruption charges. The Federal Correctional Institution in Jesup, Georgia, was the closest facility to his family's home in Saint Augustine, Florida.
A motion filed Sunday night sought to allow Geddings to delay the start of his sentence by one month. But U.S. District Court Judge James Dever rejected that request.
