Religion is an insult to the human species.

For as long as there are people who can be duped easily and made to believe in absurd stories for fear of eternal punishment or for the promise of eternal reward, there will be religion.

I'm perfectly aware that there's not only tibetan buddhism thank you, actually it wasn't meant to be a religion but a philosophy and a way of life BUT it has become a religion overtime. Religion is a collection of cultural, belief systems, worldview that establishes symbols that relate humanity to spirituality and to moral values. I know that it denied following etcetera, fact is that mostly it has become a religion, get over it.

it shows how little you know about it by stereotyping buddhism as tibetan buddhism being the sole example how it should be.

it is accepted as common definition..which is worshipping of god or gods period. that is what religion in it's core means

theravada buddhism which is considered the teachings closest to buddha denied a following, questioned the existence of a supreme creator and left guidelines to introspection and compassion..to find peace within

Go to Tibet and then we'll talk (irrelevant if they have no gods, Buddhism is a religion (and also a philosophy) with a variety of traditions, beliefs and practices etcetera based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama). Since when a religion must have a god or a good VS evil to be considered as such? Maybe it's you who should do a little research (and I doubt that SH doesn't put it into the religion category...)
